Apartment Complex: Blending Tropical Nature With Modern Comfort

This apartment project is located in Singapore and covers 15 different types of units. The developer hopes to achieve a unified "modern tropical luxury" aesthetic throughout the entire cluster while tailoring designs for different homeowner groups. As a one-stop building materials supplier, we have adopted a strategy of "unified product system + personalized configuration", which not only ensures the consistency of the overall aesthetic of the apartment cluster but also meets the personalized demands of each unit. The final effect has been highly recognized by developers and property owners.

Core challenge

• Adaptability of tropical climate products: Singapore experiences high temperatures, humidity and strong ultraviolet rays throughout the year. Therefore, the products are required to have excellent moisture-proof, mold-proof and heat-resistant properties.
• Unified aesthetics and product coordination: The 15 units need to maintain a consistent visual style. Therefore, the colors, materials, and designs of products such as cabinets, wardrobes, and furniture must be in harmony to avoid style fragmentation and damage to the overall aesthetic appeal of the apartment cluster.
• Customized product functions for diverse demands: Different family structures have different product requirements. For instance, nuclear families need multi-functional kitchen cabinets and child-friendly furniture. Young professionals prefer compact, efficient storage cabinets and simple furniture.

Custom Solutions

Kitchen Cabinets: Moisture-Proof, Efficient & Style-Unified

We uniformly adopted a "U-shaped or L-shaped" layout for kitchen cabinets to maximize space utilization, with product parameters tailored to different unit sizes:

• kitchen cabinet materials: Cabinet bodies used E0-grade moisture-proof plywood, and door panels adopted high-gloss PET material. The color was unified as foggy white, with terracotta orange handle-free strips as accents, echoing the tropical luxury style.
• Functional configuration: For 85㎡ small units, we designed compact pull-out spice racks and mini corner lazy Susans to save space; for 120-160㎡ large units, we added built-in oven cabinets and double-layer pull-out drawers for pots and pans. All units were equipped with quartz stone countertops and under-cabinet moisture-proof LED light strips.

Wardrobes: Customized Storage & Moisture-Resistant Design

Wardrobes were customized according to the size of each bedroom and the needs of the occupants, with a unified white wood veneer finish to maintain aesthetic consistency:

• Layout customization: Master bedrooms were equipped with wardrobes with partitioned areas for hanging clothes, folding clothes, and storing accessories; children bedrooms adopted a small size cabinets; elderly bedrooms were designed with lower hanging rods and pull-out drawers for easy access.
• Moisture-proof measures: Wardrobe were treated with water-resistant paint; all wardrobes were designed with a 10cm gap from the ground to avoid floor moisture intrusion. Built-in LED light strips with automatic door sensors were installed in all wardrobes to improve convenience.

Lighting fixtures: Layered design and energy-saving renovation

The entire cluster adopts a unified layered lighting system and adjusts the product style and brightness according to different Spaces

• Living room and dining room: Uniformly use smart magnetic linear lights for environmental lighting. Magnetic spotlights are used as key lighting to highlight the decorative paintings. Embedded downlights are used for supplementary lighting
• Kitchen: The kitchen is equipped with LED light strips under the cabinets (cold white light, 4000K) to eliminate operational shadows.
• Rest spaces (bedrooms): Bedrooms adopted soft downlights and bedside wall sconces (warm white light) to create a cozy atmosphere.

Project outcome

• Aesthetic consistency: The coordinated design of multiple products maintains the overall "modern tropical luxury" style of the apartment cluster and enhances the high-end texture of the cluster.
• Climate adaptation effect: Moisture-proof cabinets and wardrobes effectively prevent mold growth. Compared with traditional products, energy-saving lighting devices reduce electricity consumption by 20%.
